Hearings and forums are being held around the country to learn what people would like done with their public lands.
America’s Great Outdoors is an administration initiative that hasn’t been getting a lot of press.

One of the most vocal groups is the off-road gang, the ones whose idea of a good time is to go around tearing up and vandalizing the landscape.

Nothing good can come out of allowing these things into our protected areas. Let them ride around the local WalMart parking lot or hazardous waste site all they want, but stay out of the woods.

There’s a hearing Monday, Aug. 9, in Concord, NH, at the Grappone Conference Center, 70 Constitution Avenue, from 12:30 pm to 5 p.m.
